Starlight U.S. Multi-Family’s third party asset management strategy is to manage properties formerly owned by Starlight U.S. Multi-Family (No. 5) Core Fund in order to capitalize on historically low vacancy and strong demographic trends at pre-existing locations experiencing compelling population growth, employment growth and lifestyle preferences. The strategy includes active asset management utilizing reputable best-in-class U.S.-based property managers to implement net operating income growth by maximizing rental rates and ancillary revenue opportunities with rigorous operational controls to manage and reduce costs.

Starlight U.S. Multi-Family (No. 5) Core Fund Tax Election

Eligible former unitholders of Starlight U.S. Multi-Family (No. 5) Core Fund who are Canadian Residents and not tax-exempt are able to make a joint tax election to defer all or a portion of the Canadian capital gain which would otherwise be payable realized in respect of the disposition of their units in consideration for common shares of Tricon Capital Group Inc. Unitholders are asked to please send in their signed, completed election forms to Tricon Capital Group Inc. per the instructions on the website no later than Tuesday December 31, 2019.
